Beach season is approaching and one of the biggest beauty concern is dark underarms.

How to lighten dark underarms?
I have a couple of people messaging me about natural remedies to get rid of dark armpits. Below are three methods that uses natural ingredient to correct this problem!

1. Potato, sugar and lemon juice

Mix 2 tablespoon of grated potato, 2 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of sugar.
Rub the mixture on your armpits and let it sit for 20 minutes and rinse off with water.

2. Baking Soda

I posted a card on baking soda before and as you know this is help control body odor. In addition, it makes a natural underarm whitening scrub.
Mix baking soda and coconut oil. Rub the mixture on your underarm. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes and rinse it off.

3. Rice and Milk

Mix 1 tablespoon rice flour and 1 tablespoon milk to make a paste. Apply it under the arm in circular motion and let it dry for 20 minutes. Scrub it off and have a warm bath.

Tips:

1. Avoid fitting clothes and let your underarm breathe! Bad sweat absorption can lead to dark underarms.
2. Put on sunscreen when you wear sleeves tops.
3. Avoid shaving underarm, instead pluck or wax.

Personally, the baking soda method works for me but it might not be for everyone. Some of you might have allergic reaction to baking soda, so PLEASE do a skin patch test before using this method. In addition, let me know if any of these remedies work for you!
