Scarlet Tears & Fits of Rage
Another tablescape up in flames! Ouch! What happened?!
I'm not going to throw the baby out with the bath water here. Yes--the "look" of the dining venue looks amazing. However, the tablescape is wrong, wrong, wrong. I have said it before and will continue to say it; your centerpieces shouldn't hinder anyone's ability to commune with people across the table--wherever they may be sitting.
The "floating" acrylic centerpiece is just high enough that you're forced to crane your neck to look over it. Add to that, there are even more objects of height that get in the way. Don't put your guests in an awkward position where they actually MOVE your tablescape around in order to talk to another person. If that EVER happens, FAILURE!!
And another thing, those candles should NEVER be at eye level. Lighted candles are to be directly on the table OR elevated such as a taper in a candelabra. So, that's two strikes.
There is ONE significant tablescape element that is a showstopper! Can you guess?

I see what you mean @nixonwoman It looks like your line of sight is where the acrylic base is. It would be easier to tell if I was there. I think I know the answer to your question, but I am going to see if others know.
There's a lot of gold too. Maybe once all the people are seated and dancing and having fun the red won't seem so harsh. Also, @nixonwoman, i never knew that candles were not allowed to be at eye sight. Good to know. lol
