Monaco’s Lacina Traore and Tiemoue Bakayoko, both of whom are suffering from leg injuries, will remain out for Wednesday’s Champions League Quarterfinal 2nd Leg. Juve will be without star player Paul Pogba alongside defender Martin Caceres and forward Artuto Vidal whom will also expected to miss the fixture.
Two teams, one of which is guaranteed their first semifinal appearance in over a decade as Monaco are locked in a tight battle for the Ligue 1 title, currently sitting 3rd. Monaco’s financial cuts in the summer did not seem to hamper their performance then, as they dumped Arsenal out of the Champions League on away goals in the Round of 16.
On the opposite end of the table, Juventus are well clear of Serie A, 15 points up with only 7 to play while looking as if they have returned to days where they are formidable European opponents. The likes of Tevez and Pogba have provided more than enough spark with the rest of the squad also firing on all cylinders as well. The Old Lady looks to once again establish itself as a major Champions League contender.
Prediction: Juve have too much quality and I expect it to show.
