Mr. Sean and Ms. Grande are no more, and this might mean great things.
The news came out last week that that Ariana Grande and Big Sean, who have been dating since last October, have called it quits.
"They both deeply care for each other and remain close friends," read a joint statement yesterday, while a source told Us Weekly that the split was partially due to "conflicting touring schedules" in the near future.
Yes, its a bummer for the couple and for fans of the couple themselves, but come on! Ariana is blowing up the pop world and is going through a high-profile breakup at the tail-end of an album cycle. The next move should be obvious: Grande needs to deliver an emotionally gripping breakup album.
She's currently queen of the happy love songs but I am so excited to see her get a little sad. Take 'One Last Time' and give it a little more punch! Sure 'Break Free' is a killer break up song, but I want an entire album of gut-wrenchers.
