I would say 99% of women use some makeup at least during the weekend, and I would dare to say only 15% of those know how to and actually clean their makeup brushes. Washing and cleaning your brushes is just as important as cleaning your face. If not done properly and constantly it can give clogged pores and maybe even an infection. It takes literally 10 minutes and you will see the difference when you apply makeup, it will look much better and stay on for longer when done with a clean brush. Here's the simplest way to do it! First, you want to wet the hairs under the faucet with tepid to warm water with the hairs pointing downwards. Next you want to use a mild shampoo, Squirt a little soap on your palm and make circular motions with the brush on it. Gently squeeze the hairs from ferrule to hair tips over and over adding a little water at a time. Rinse and repeat until the water runs clear. After your brushes are clean, brush them off a little on a clean paper towel and lay them to dry on their side on a paper towel or a regular towel. Finally, wait until they are totally dry before using them again.
