The original recipe called for simple syrup, but I tried it myself and found that agave nectar works just as well! Check out the original recipe here or follow my new version below!
Red layer: 1/2 cup strawberries, chopped, 2 tbsp agave nectar + 2tbsp water
Orange layer: 4tbsp tangerine juices, 2 tbsp agave nectar + 2tbsp water
Yellow layer: 4tbsp pineapple juice, 2 tbsp agave nectar + 2tbsp water
Green layer: 1/2 cup kiwi, diced and peeled, 2 tbsp agave nectar + 2tbsp water
Purple layer: 1/2 cup blueberries, 2 tbsp agave nectar + 2tbsp water
Mix your agave and water together in a bowl.
Blend all ingredients for each layer (each layer separately!) until the mixture reaches a smooth consistency.
Pour the red layer into your molds to about 1/4″ thickness, and freeze for 1 to 2 hours.
Add the orange layer in the same way, and place the sticks. To hold the sticks in place, fix a sheet of tin foil or plastic wrap (see pictures) over the top of the moulds, make small slits with a knife and gently push in the lolly sticks.
Pour in the yellow layer, and freeze again. Add the green, and purple layers in the same fashion.
Allow the popsicles to freeze overnight!
