Alright, so there are a ton of black bean recipes out there -- most of them with too many complicated seasonings and complicated steps. Let's cut to the chase. I'll give you the basics, and how you want to dress up your burger, is entirely up to you.
What you'll need:
-1 can of black beans
-Half-ish cup of bread crumbs
-1 whole egg
-A pinch of salt & pepper
-A pinch of garlic seasoning (totally optional, but why would you make that optional???)
What you'll need to do:
-Mash beans with a fork in a large bowl
-Yeah, keep mashing those beans...
-Add bread crumbs, egg, garlic seasoning, salt & pepper
-Stir everything together
You should be able to form patties. If too wet, add some more breadcrumbs.
The easy cooking part:
-Heat up the stove -- medium's alright
-Use a pan
-Place burger patties
-Cook for 3 minutes
-Cook for another 3 minutes
I usually dress mine up with cheese, ketchup, lettuce, and spicy mustard. How do you dress up your black bean burgers?
