John Galliano's gold mirror high-top sneaks (for men), are making me drool all over again! They're from the avant garde fashion house, Maison Martin Margiela. And in case you start giving me flack for featuring a shoe from--God forbid--2012, the $600+ kicks are still current, with the likes of Gucci, Fendi (and Michael Kors) keeping these in their stores even today!
With the exception of the platform heels you find in women's shoes, gold and mirror finish high top sneakers are completely unisex. No one's going to stop to inspect to see whether you're wearing $700 Gucci (for men) or $1,200 Giuseppe Zanotti (for women), when they look almost identical!
For the budget conscious--and those committed to the fashion look--scroll to see three images of J Crew imposters for $128. The quality and design won't be near that of designer brands, but are PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE for a night out to catch The XX at the Palladium and a 2AM feast of Scotch and French Toast at The Georgian in Santa Monica.
The pleasures of living in LA!
I'm a bit of a shoe guy. Here are a couple other shoes I own and you should too:
