Since, by his own admission, his reading list last summer had very few light, "beach" reads, Bill tried to give us some lighter reads: "each of these books made me think or laugh or, in some cases, do both."
And while some people might complain that all he ever recommends is pop nonfiction, think. about it this way. Ultimately if his recommendations get people thinking about important problems, isn't it worth it?
Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh
The Magic of Reality by Richard Dawkins
What If? by Randall Munroe
XKCD by Randall Munroe
On Immunity by Eula Biss
How to Lie with Statistics by Darrell Huff
Should We Eat Meat? by Vaclav Smil
I've already read two of these (both of Munroe's!) so I highly, highly recommend them! If you like XKCD online, you'll love both of these.
Any others that are must reads that you guys have read? Let me know!
