Hula, as artist Sean Yoro is affectionately called, uses his surfboard as a rafter of sorts while he paints these sick murals that look like woman and other images hovering just at water level. I haven't been on a surfboard in a long time, but for me, this wouldn't be the easiest way of getting out there to do a mural! Props to him for such clean moves.
Since he paints these just above the water, they reflect into the waves and the image extends out far from the painted surface.
He's based in NYC, but he grew up in Hawaii, where he learned about surfing, watercolors and graffiti, and he eventually started combining the three to make cool stuff like this.
If you could paint something coming out of the water, what would you paint?
