Different Types of Toners
Know what base to use for your skin type.
These are typically mild and ingredient consist little to no alcohol. Best for dry and sensitive skin. (Example: Rose Water)
These have a slightly higher content of alcohol (e.g. 20%). Generally suitable for all skin type but not recommended for sensitive skin or if you struggle with rosacea. (Example: Orange flower water)
These have the highest content of alcohol (20-60%). Best for oily skin as it dries out excess oils. (Example: Witch Hazel)
Homemade Aloe Vera Toner
Great toner to cure sunburn and rashes.
Method: Squeeze out pure aloe vera juice and apply it on affected area.
Homemade Mint Leaves Toner
Cool down redness, irritation and refresh your skin
Method: Mix mint leaves with hot water. Allow the solution to cool and then apply it on your face using cotton pads.
