A frozen treat in the midst of a hot summer's day is the best! While waiting in line for a cup or cone of Ben & Jerry's is more convenient, it doesn't beat the excitement and satisfaction of making your own ice cream. This recipe does not require an army of ingredient and long wait time. How? Frozen Bananas!
1. Peel 5-6 bananas and chopped them into chunks.
2. Freeze banana chunks on a cookie sheet for 1 to 2 hours.
3. Add frozen banana chunks to a food processor and blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as you go. Keep blending until texture becomes thick and smooth.
That's it! You can garnish with toppings of your choice. Now, you have an excuse to eat ice-cream for breakfast. :)

Tried it this weekend and it was delicious! My boyfriend thought the frozen bananas would turn brown but it didn't!

@alise Yeah, I think it's just a matter of making sure you peel the banana BEFORE putting it in the freezer. You have no idea how sad I was when I went to go freeze bananas in their peel for smoothie prep only to wake up the next morning to a blackish brown banana-shaped rock I couldn't even use!
