Épicerie Boulud is one of the more accessible creations of award-winning French chef and restauranteur Daniel Boulud. Located on the Upper West Side at Broadway and 64th, the épicerie is perfectly located for a sunny picnic in Central Park
Offering both eat-in and take-out options, the épicerie-slash-gourmet market offers lunch fare like salads, soups, and sandwiches in addition to delectable housemade charcuterie and artisanal cheeses.
But of course, the best part of the Épicerie are its sweeter options! You'll find authentic French viennoiseries such as buttery almond croissants, apricot danishes, and a "superlatively flaky" tarte aux pommes. Also not to be missed: the chocolate-ginger and lemon pound cakes; delicate macarons in seasonal flavors; and a very unique specialty croissant filled with raspberry and chocolate ganache.
I can't wait to check this place out! If you've ever been, or have recommendations of other awesome bakeries in NYC, I'd love to hear about it!!
I love tarts, and the pinwheel-looking ones in that picture look incredible! Are those the apricot danishes?
You had me at almond croissant!
