Hot 97’s Summer Jam over the past five years has been known for its lineup blunders. They either place the artist on the wrong stage or miss the artist completely. Across the board, there have been few complaints about this years lineup. The festival stage seems sharp and the main stage has all of the elements for an incredible night. Below are five must-see acts to at Summer Jam:
1-Travis Scott
The Houston native is known for delivering some of the most energetic sets in the underground scene. He has spent the past year on tour with Young Thug honing his craft. In regards to sound, his production is made for a stadium. All the elements are perfect for Scott to steal the show on the 7th.
2-Childish Gambino
Gambino was placed on the wrong stage last year, and Hot 97 has attempted to right the ship this year by placing him on the main stage. Gambino creates incredible music and has some big name collaborations under his belt. The NYC native is sure to set the stage ablaze at Summer Jam.
3-Kendrick Lamar
The Compton native has been a dominant force in 2015 due to the release of his sensational album “To Pimp A Butterfly.” His witty wordplay, fearless crowd interaction and stage presence is the reason why he is the headliner of Summer Jam 2015.
4-Big Sean
Big Sean had a strong 2015 due to the release of his third studio album “Dark Sky Paradise.” Due to his connections to G.O.O.D. Music, you never know who he could bring out, shit we may get a Kanye sighting. Look for Sean to deliver an amazing live set for his east coast fans.
5-Chris Brown
Very few artists have a catalog full of hits to choose from for a live concert. The Virginia native has 61 songs that has charted and 13 top 10 singles. Outside of the fact that everyone knows his songs, he’s an amazing performer due to his charisma and dance ability.
