Strength Training Without Weights
Are you trying to build muscles? Are you trying to get lean? Do you want to lift your bodyweight without using weights? What if I told you that you don’t need weights? All you need is your body and a powerful grunt to get you through these explosive workouts.

This exercise is awesome for building strength and muscularity for your triceps and chest. If you’re having trouble with the common variation of the pushup, you may start off with an assistant push-up. With this, you’ll lay your knees on the floor to give you some added support. But once these become easy for you, try other variations. There is the wide-grip push-up, decline push-up, incline push-up, and for showing off points -- the front clap push-up.

Jump Squats

These are one of my favorites. They are a bit difficult to do than your standard squats, but they are so much fun. With these you jump up, then go down into your squatted position, then jump again.

Box Jumps

These are the sort of things you see at Crossfit gyms. If you don’t have a box, don’t worry about that. Try to find a sturdy surface you may jump on. Be careful with these -- instead of focusing on how fast you can do these, find a pace that works for you. You’ll still feel the exercise. What I have done in the past is I would go outside and find some kind of stoop I can jump on, usually something that is high enough to meet my knees.

Chin Ups

You’re essentially lifting almost all of your body weight, and if this ain't strength, then I don’t know what is. This is a very hard exercise to do. You can always try assistant chin ups with a band, or with someone holding on to your ankles or feet relieve some of the weight.
