I just ate my first fig of the season a couple days ago. It's one of my favorite fruits - not to mention, fig jam is so very versatile. Sometime I swap it with tomato sauce on my pizzas. Fig jam, caramelized onions, prosciutto, and arugula. <3
Luckily here in LA lots of fruits are available year-round but you can't beat the taste of fresh watermelon in summer!
@sophiamor I KNOW. Have you ever tried making a berry galette? I love the ease of their unstructured form!! There was a great recipe for a whole-wheat dough one with raspberries and blackberries in one of my mom's cookbooks... I'll have to hunt it down...
