Passion, exemplified
Joe Cocker knows how to rock, man.

This is one of the most memorable live moments in music history, no doubt.
Beyond the undeniable quality of the song - so good that I have almost come to associate the piece with Cocker, instead of with the Beatles (which is quite a feat) - the way he handles himself on the stage is second-to-none. He's obviously gone insane for eight minutes, and it's results are perfect.
A question: do we think Cocker actually believed that he had an instrument in his hand the entire time? I'm not ruling it out....

"He's obviously gone insane for eight minutes, and it's results are perfect." might be the best way I've ever seen this one described. Every now and then, I light a bunch of candles in my bedroom and play this and try to meditate. It's a good one.

I love the beginning and the end, not even counting the music. "We're gonna leave ya with the usual thing..." and then "Thank you all very much indeed, see you again, BEAUTIFUL!" He's kinda applauding himself and I'm so OK with it.
