A majority of chain restaurants have been counting calories (just like yourself) and starting to provide its customers with the total amount of calories next to a certain dish on the menu. It's been happening (whether you like it or not), and confusing glamorized words with what is actually healthy can be troublesome to those trying to find a meal that doesn't have an entire days worth of calories sitting on one plate. These words often trip up customers, so here's a quick guide to show what types of lingo you should be on the lookout for if you're trying to maintain a healthy diet.

Skip It:

Marketing teams are tricky though @danidee! They can be like "your burger will be smothered in a rich, tangy-filled sauce..." oh, and with a side of kale. Haha.
pls God.. put this in mind of our government.. it should also be mandatory in Indian restaurant 馃嵈
I have a friend that totally doesnt pay attention to the calorie counters even when they are posted on the menu. She still goes for the unhealthiest thing they offer and there is no nice way to tell her to cut it out. Maybe I should slyly send this card her way haha
I don't think something that involves the word 'smothered' could ever be healthy! I feel like that's one of those words that automatically implies "WE OVERDID IT."
