Ever wanted to sit behind the desk at Weekend Update or buzz in for Celebrity Jeopardy? Saturday Night Live: The Exhibition lets fans do just that as a testament to the show's 40th anniversary.
The exhibition walks fans through 40 years at SNL, starting with Lorne Michaels' desk and ending with more recent fan favorites. Aside from sets and costumes, the exhibition displays versions of the TV control room and the famous SNL stage.
Featuring famous sketches old and new, the exhibition will entertain SNL fans of any age. The creators hope it will give viewers an idea of what it's like to be part of the creative team, working to make an episode each week.
Getting a sense of what it's like to work at SNL sounds like a dream come true to me, so I know what I'll be doing this weekend!
The exhibition opened last week on 5th Avenue in NYC. Tickets and more information about the exhibition can be found here.
@beywatch - I'm going to try to go if I have time, it's such a good idea. And prom's overrated anyway.
I'm not sure anything can be More Cowbell level awesome.
Prom's ALRIGHT. Just, you know, not More Cowbell level alright.
Ahhhhh. I wish I could go to this so badly. I'm such an SNL nerd. I almost didn't go to prom because it was the same night as an SNL that Christopher Walken was hosting.
