Since its inception in 1948, In-N-Out Burger has grown to be one of California's hottest destination spots. People from all over want to get their own taste of what's arguably considered the best burger in the nation - so much so that the company sells over 100 million hamburgers annually!
Unfortunately, aside from the french fries - which are fried up in vegetable oil and free of beef tallow, there aren't really a lot of In-N-Out options for vegans.
Which inspired this card.
Below are vegan recipes for three of the most popular items on In-N-Out's elusive Secret Menu - the Double-Double, 'Animal-Style' French Fries, and the Neapolitan Shake.

Keep warm on low heat or set aside.
3) In the same or another large frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. Place two patties on the pan, and slather the top of each patty with 1 tablespoon mustard. Cook about 2 minutes on now side, until the patty is beginning to brown and crisp. Flip, add a slice of cheese to each patty, and fry patties in the mustard for another 2 minutes or so, until cheese is melted. While burgers cook, place buns bottom side down in a greased frying pan and heat about 1 minute on each side, until edges just begin to crisp.

Animal Style Fries is the only thing I order from In-N-Out. I also tried making my own version by baking frozen fries and garnishing with thousand island sauce and grilled onion. It wasn't the same but it was good enough.
