Not that you really needed an excuse, but in case you did: Bob Marley belongs at the top of all playlists for the next few months.
I have a not-so-unique theory on Bob Marley, and it goes something like this: there is no circumstance in which playing Bob Marley is a bad idea. No one has ever put on Bob Marley and had it received poorly.
With that said, it's undeniable that his tunes are at home in the summer months. Drinking a beer, throwing a baseball, sitting by the pool, mastering the grill - it just doesn't matter. Here are a few of my favorite Marley songs to get you started.
It's an easy choice, but that doesn't mean it doesn't belong on the list. The best of all.
This song came on the radio the other day and inspired this post. It is perfect in every way.
"Roots, Rock, Reggae"
Another lesser-known track, but this one is actually my all time favorite Bob Marley song.
"Waiting in Vain"
If anyone has ever made a better song for drinking and relaxing outside, I haven't found it yet.
