If you haven't seen Mad Max cancel all your plans and go right now. If you have, then you already know that Imperator Furiosa is one serious badass. The movie is basically one giant, epic car chase featuring her telling other people what to do. She's the kind of character that would probably have some really good life advice.
Don't let anyone mess with you
It might be tempting to be conciliatory when people are rude or try to push you around. But being likeable doesn't mean people should get to take advantage of you or treat you like garbage. Shut that down.
Feel free to forgive... or not
You're allowed to forgive people for their jerkish behavior (she decided to bring Max on the War Rig after all). First imoressions aren't everything, and if someone changes you can decide to accept it and move on. But that's up to you. If you receive an apology that doesn't feel genuine, you have the power to walk away.
You can be tough
Whoever said that women can't be tough has clearly never had the privilege of being punched in the face by Furiosa. She is fierce and ruthless and she does not apologize for it. She lives in a brutal world and she does not intend to let it take her down without a fight.
You can have empathy, too
So many narratives tell us that we can't be heroes without being frigid and unfeeling, disconnected from the world. Furiosa calls BS on all of that. She has empathy for the Wives, who ask her for help. She has love for the women that raised her, and hope for the future.
You are entitled to your anger
Say it with me: anyone that invalidates my feelings of anger because they are distasteful or inconvenient is getting left in the dust. I know it's a mouthful, but your feelings, and especially your anger when you've been wronged, are valid.
