Also known as plátanos maduros asados con queso, these tasty things are so good. You can find this food item in South America. Thankfully, recipes exist, and you can make these yourself. Oh, and they are vegetarian friendly.
They are so easy to make, and my plan is to make all of you Latin American chefs so you can be my personal cooks. Sounds good? Great!
What You'll Need
1 ripe bananas (peeled)
1 tablespoons melted butter or oil
1 thick slice of fresh cheese (you can use mozzarella or other cheese that melts easily)
How To Make It:
1) Pre-heat oven to 400 (F)
2) Place plantains on a baking sheet and rub them with butter or oil.
3) Fry over medium heat with oil/butter until all sides are golden brown.
OR Bake the plantains for 30 minutes, turn plantain for another 15-20 minutes or until golden on both sides.
4) Remove the plantains from the oven, made a horizontal slit on the middle of each plantain, and stuff them with the cheese slices.
