Joshua Tillman - better known as J. Tillman or Father John Misty used to be a member of Fleet Foxes. He has since moved on.
Unlike Fleet Foxes, though, he is still making music. This year, he put out his second full album since breaking away from Fleet Foxes, "I Love You, Honeybear". It's, overall, a really strange, frightening, direct, and somewhat disturbing album overall; that's what the qualities of Father John Misty's voice brings to the table, though. The music is pretty bare, but it's good. And for those of us who miss Fleet Foxes (all of us), it will have to do for now.
The title track is the most provocative and strange of all, with a shocking music video to boot. Check it out above.

It definitely reminds me of Fleet Foxes in a lot of ways - no surprise, really - but the subject matter strikes me as a little bit (a lot bit?) more dark than anything that Fleet Foxes put out.
