I am going to be completely honest with you, and this is coming from a gym buff whose identity is mostly known as that girl who lifts weights. Most people who know me IRL always ask how's the lifting is going.
I haven't gone to the gym in 3 weeks. I have a ton of excuses, though. Like, I am too busy, I don't have time, I rather watch Netflix for the new season of Orange Is The New Black. Blah, blah, blah. Or I can totally just flat out tell all of you that I have been incredibly lazy. This is sort of weird for me. Going to gym has always been as routine as waking up to go to work. I am not unhappy, I am not super busy, my prirorities have just been a bit scrambled. I can't be the only gym buff who has gone through this sort of thing -- tell me I am not! Weird thing is that I am not completely inactive. I take walks, I go to dancing lessons, I enjoy outdoor things like hiking. Maybe I am just getting bored of lifting? (omg I hope not!)
It has only been about 3 weeks but I feel like I am losing my bro status. It is definitely a challenge to question parts of your identity that has been prescribed by friends, family, and strangers alike. Am I still a bro in the iron world? I hope so...
@alywoah your body will let you know when you're ready.
@alywoah Ofcourse, rest is growth.
Personally, I took 2 months off just out of boredom. The return never felt better. Like a Phoenix.
Definitely. But mann this rest has been long! @DroPuenteAG93
That makes me feel better. I guess we all need that break sometimes! @DroPuenteAG93
