Tattoos: Understand risks and precautions

Tattoos might make you feel cool and are more common than ever, but don't take tattooing lightly. Know the risks and understand basic safety precautions and aftercare steps before jumping into tattooing! You could be the proud owner of a new tattoo in a matter of hours — but don't let the ease of getting tattoos stop you from making a thoughtful decision about permanent body art. Before you get a tattoo, make sure you know what's involved. Also, be certain that tattooing is the right decision for you. How tattoos are done: A tattoo is a permanent mark or design made on your skin with pigments inserted through pricks into the skin's top layer. Typically, the tattoo artist uses a hand-held machine that acts much like a sewing machine, with one or more needles piercing the skin repeatedly. With every puncture, the needles insert tiny ink droplets. The process — which is done without anesthetics — causes a small amount of bleeding and slight to potentially significant pain. Tattoos breach the skin, which means that skin infections and other complications are possible. Specific risks include: 1) Allergic reactions. Tattoo dyes — especially red, green, yellow and blue dyes — can cause allergic skin reactions, such as an itchy rash at the tattoo site. This can occur even years after you get the tattoo. 2) Skin infections. A skin infection — which might cause redness, swelling, pain and a pus-like drainage — is possible after tattooing. Other skin problems. Sometimes bumps called granulomas form around tattoo ink. Tattooing can also lead to keloids — raised areas caused by an overgrowth of scar tissue. 3) Bloodborne diseases. If the equipment used to create your tattoo is contaminated with infected blood, you can contract various bloodborne diseases — including tetanus, hepatitis B and hepatitis C. 4) MRI complications. Rarely, tattoos or permanent makeup might cause swelling or burning in the affected areas during magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exams. In some cases, tattoo pigments can interfere with the quality of the image — such as when a person who has permanent eyeliner has an MRI of the eye. Medication or other treatment — including possible removal of the tattoo — might be needed if you experience an allergic reaction to the tattoo ink or you develop an infection or other skin problem near a tattoo. 5 Things To Know Before Your Tummy Liposuction For 6 Pack Abs
There are two types of fat to consider when doing tummy liposuction: subcutaneous and visceral. Subcutaneous fat is the jiggly, pinchable fat found just beneath the skin. It's generally harmless, but not always appealing. Visceral fat is fat stored in the abdomen. "Skinny-fat" is a term used to describe people with a lot of visceral fat. Not only is it unhealthy, but it's also dangerous. Because visceral fat is stored near your organs, it is more likely to disrupt organ functions, leading to increased insulin resistance (type 2 diabetes), blood pressure, bad cholesterol (LDL), and heart disease and stroke risk. Tummy liposuction removes subcutaneous fat. Visceral fat is insoluble in water and cannot be suctioned out. Diet and exercise can safely reduce visceral fat. Visceral fat does not prevent you from having liposuction, but it does affect the results. The patient had liposuction of the abdomen, waist, and hips. The patient was pleased with the visible results. However, visceral fat remains in the tummy , which liposuction cannot remove. Without an MRI or CAT scan, you can't tell how much visceral fat you have. Visceral fat makes up about 10% of total body fat. Your visceral fat may start to affect your health if your waist circumference is 40 inches or 35 inches for a man and 35 inches for a woman. Tummy liposuction does not always require general anaesthesia. It's true for all body parts, but not always! In fact, some surgeons still prefer general anaesthesia, especially for abdominal surgery. Your plastic surgeon will almost certainly use the tumescent method, which has long been the gold standard for safe and effective liposuction. Tummy fat is removed by injecting tumescent fluid (saline and epinephrine with sodium bicarbonate as a buffer) into the skin-to-abdominal cavity area. The saline solution fills the fatty layer beneath the skin, making it easier to sculpt (hence the name Liposculpture). Epinephrine is a vasoconstrictor, reducing bruising and blood loss. For tummy liposuction under local anaesthesia, your surgeon will add lidocaine (a numbing agent) to the tumescent fluid. In addition to avoiding the risks associated with general anaesthesia, this allows your cosmetic surgeon to perform lipo without putting patients to sleep. Watch for Loose Skin and Belly Hang. As we age, our bodies produce less collagen, causing our skin to lose elasticity and bounce back. Now anyone can have liposuction! Remember that skin laxity is more likely to be an issue with tummy lipo as you age. Loose skin can occur after extreme weight loss, as well as after liposuction. With SmartLipo, laser-assisted liposuction in Mumbai tightens skin better than liposuction alone. In some cases, due to the size of the abdomen or lack of skin elasticity, a tummy tuck may be required. You can gain weight even if fat doesn't move. Liposuction is an investment in your body that requires maintenance. Tummy liposuction will not prevent you from gaining weight. Even if you gain weight, your tummy will still be slimmer! Liposuction is not a weight loss solution and should not be used as such. Tummy liposuction permanently removes abdominal fat. Those cells don't regenerate, move, or change where they store fat. After tummy liposuction, your body has fewer fat cells in the abdomen (about 70 percent less). If you gain weight after tummy liposuction, your body will store fat in the same places. Because we removed so much fat from your tummy , other areas may appear larger. That you can eat whatever you want and never gain weight just because your tummy is smaller after lipo means nothing. Again, liposuction is not a quick fix and should not be used as such. 6 pack abs are made in the gym and the kitchen. "Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym," you've probably heard. That's a lot of truth. Subcutaneous fat hides abdominal muscles, no matter how big and strong they are. Or does it remove subcutaneous fat? So why don't all lipo patients have six-pack abs? The answer is simple: abs come from the kitchen and the gym. There's the gym and the operating room for tummy lipo. You've probably seen a flat tummy . They don't have much belly fat and have good muscle definition, but no six-pack. As previously shown, having a lot of visceral fat can prevent you from getting a flat tummy from lipo. You won't get abs from liposuction in Mumbai unless you first build strong ab muscles through exercise and weight training.
Dimpleplasty - Get Dimples With A Quick And Easy Procedure
Cher, Mario Lopez, and Jennifer Garner are all famous for their dimpled smiles. They recently inspired fans to get their own dimples. “Everyone in Hollywood has them, and everyone wants them,” say plastic surgeons. Men who want the “Mario Lopez” look are also interested in the procedure. So, what is Dimpleplasty? Natural dimples are caused by skin adhering to underlying tissue. If someone smiles, a dimple appears. While some dimples last into adulthood, many disappear as a child grows and the cheek muscle matures. The latest cosmetic surgery trend is Dimpleplasty in Mumbai. Cosmetic surgeons now create four times as many dimples as they did a few years ago. What is Dimpleplasty? A tiny incision inside the patient's cheek creates dimples. No cuts on the outside of the face. The remaining cheek muscle is sutured to the skin's underside with dissolvable suture. An incision on the inside of the cheek creates a dimple. One local anaesthetic is used for the entire outpatient procedure. The dimples will be deeper at first, but will look natural after a few months. Initially visible whenever the patient smiles, the dimples gradually fade away. What is the Dolly Dimple? Dr. Siddharth Prakash, one of the few cosmetic surgeons who offers the service, says the “Dolly Dimple” is an updated version of the original dimple creation surgery in Mumbai that is more predictable. "Dimples can be more personalised," said Dr. Siddharth. “Patients can design their own dimples, long, short, deep, shallow, etc.” The patient can also choose the location of the dimples on their cheeks. Dimples are cute and brighten a person's smile. They are even lucky in some cultures.
How To Treat Acne Scars
If you look in the mirror and see acne scars, then you probably walk away frustrated because there's virtually no solution outside of expensive (and painful) laser and filler treatments. But did you know about aloe vera gel? You know, the all natural stuff that you can get at any health food store (and most drug stores) for less than $20! According to Readers Digest, "a 2014 study of 60 participants suffering from mild to severe acne looked at whether adding aloe vera gel to a standard topical retinoid treatment would increase healing." Remarkably, those that combined the cream and the aloe vera gel saw reduced inflammation and significantly reduced scarring. The combination of retinoids, aloe vera and hyaluronic acid contribute to the dramatic efficacy. TIP: Apply both aloe vera gel and your preferred retinol treatment twice a day to see results in about 4 weeks. @jordanhamilton @kaminisingh @alywoah @TessStevens @mikayla @ChelseaHeyes @QueenYuki @KyotieWolf @kristenadams @Donnas @stargaze @flymetothemoon @ImUrBestFriend @galinda @Bekka @RaquelArredondo @jazziejazz @rmayra1 @prgurl4u2envy @DemiP @alannasofia @petname83 @TinaDang @dimplequeen @tiffany1922 @atmi @ZoilaObregon @brinJSN @CelinaGonzalez @JessicaChaney @Animaniafreak @CrystalBlunt @AliciaJaneth @NaraA @TurtleyTurtles @sherrysahar @raenel @CandaceJordan @LemonLassie @AprilNapier @peahyr @MyAffairWith @SarahRegulski @HappyLulie @GingerMJones @humairaa @yellowbug18 @reaper412 @hikaymm
9 Effective Skincare Tips For Teenagers With Acne
A pimple develops when the pores of the skin become clogged with sebum; a type of oil that normally lubricates the skin and hair. Acne is common during puberty, when hormones kick in and the skin produces an abnormally high amount of sebum. Because the forehead, nose, and chin contain so many oil-producing glands, this area, dubbed the T-zone, is the most prone to pimples. Here are a few pointers to help you avoid and treat breakouts quickly: Wash your face twice daily with warm water and a gentle acne-specific cleanser (no more). Massage your face gently in circular motions. No scrubbing is required. Excessive washing and scrubbing can irritate the skin. After cleansing, apply a low-strength benzoyl peroxide lotion. Never squeeze your pimples. It's tempting, but here are some reasons why you should avoid it: Pimple popping can result in the push of infected material deeper into the skin, causing swelling, redness, and acne scarring. If you notice a pimple developing prior to a significant event, such as a wedding, a dermatologist can frequently treat it with minimal scarring or infection. Don't touch your face or lean your face against objects that collect sebum and skin residue, such as your phone. By touching your face, you can spread bacteria and cause inflamed and irritated pores. Wash your hands before applying anything to your face, such as your acne treatment creams or makeup, to keep bacteria at bay. Clean your pair of glasses or sunglasses to avoid clogging the pores around your eyes and nose with oil. Avoid tight fitting clothes if you have acne on your body. They obstruct the skin's ability to breathe and may irritate it. On scarves, headbands, and caps, dirt and oil can also accumulate. Remove your makeup before going to bed. When shopping for makeup, look for brands that list "non-comedogenic" or "non-acnegenic" on the label. Remove any old makeup that has a different smell or appearance than the day you purchased it. Keep your hair clean and away from your face to avoid clogging your pores with dirt and oil. Never skip sunscreen. While a tan may appear to conceal acne, this is only temporary. A tan may aggravate your acne rather than help it. Additionally, tanning wreaks havoc on the skin, causing wrinkles and increasing your risk of developing skin cancer. Consult a dermatologist if you are concerned about acne. Dermatologists offer a variety of acne treatment options for acne scar prevention and treatment. A dermatologist can assist you in determining the most effective treatment method for you and provide you with a wealth of useful advice on how to manage acne and care for your particular skin type.
How To Pick The Best Plastic Surgeon For Your Rhinoplasty
Recent advancements in cosmetic surgery have allowed surgeons to achieve more natural, aesthetically pleasing, and elegant results. But no amount of advanced technology or surgical techniques can replace a skilled facial plastic surgeon's artistic eye and skill. Simply put, not all surgeons are equal. This is especially true of Rhinoplasty (also known as a "nose job"). The nose, along with the eyes and smile, is one of the most noticeable facial features. While you want a surgeon who will perform a safe procedure with minimal recovery time, you also want a surgeon who has the experience, artistic ability, and knowledge of nose anatomy to produce a stunning result. However, some surgeons lack the training and experience required to perform exceptional facial surgery. It is better to find out well before surgery! Before choosing a surgeon for your Rhinoplasty in Mumbai, do your homework well. Find out about the procedure and the surgeon from those who have had a successful Nose Job. Check reviews and inquire. Your experience will suffer if you are afraid to ask questions or communicate clearly. Before selecting a surgeon for your Rhinoplasty, consider asking her/ him the following: What are your qualifications? You can usually look up a surgeon's education, training, and board certifications online. A lack of a website by your plastic surgeon may be a red flag. Choose a Board certified surgeon. These surgeons have undergone extensive specialised training and are truly dedicated to facial plastic surgery. The number of rhinoplasties performed? A good surgeon will have performed hundreds, if not thousands, of these procedures over the course of his career. Like anything else, practise makes perfect. Choose a surgeon with the "numbers" to develop advanced technique and expertise. Please share your before and after photos? This is a fair and common request. Verify that your surgeon's photos are of actual patients, not stock photos. This will help you understand the surgeon's skills. Please show me some happy Rhinoplasty patients' testimonials? Reputable surgeons should be able to easily produce patient testimonials and before and after photos. If a surgeon refuses to provide these, he may simply lack them. Can you make my nose look like a famous person's? If you have a celebrity "nose crush," ask the surgeon if you can have your nose shaped like theirs. Be wary of a surgeon who claims to be able to duplicate another's nose. It may not be possible or desirable to give you an exact copy unless your nose and face share the same shape and bone structure. Responsable nose surgeons will work with you to develop a plan that meets your needs while remaining realistic. What is the procedure's cost? The cost of Rhinoplasty in Mumbai should be fairly consistent if you choose surgeons with similar levels of expertise. If a surgeon quotes you a price significantly lower than others, proceed with caution. You get what you pay for in life, and a Rhinoplasty is not something you want to skimp on. While a new, well-done nose can boost patients' confidence, a new, poorly done nose can do the opposite. Remember that paying another surgeon to fix it later isn't saving you any money.
5 Sure Ways To Get Young And Glowing Skin
You may have the spirit of a child, ready to take on the world. But what if your skin tone isn't a good match? Here are the top 5 treatments for looking youthful and ready to face the world... Chemical Peeling A chemical peel is a skin-resurfacing technique that removes your skin's top layer. This can help reduce wrinkles, dullness, and hyperpigmentation. A chemical peel is performed by applying a liquid to the face, which is subsequently wiped away. A gentle chemical peel enhances skin texture and tone while also making fine wrinkles less visible. The results are minor at first, but as treatments are repeated, they become more noticeable. If you get a medium chemical peel, the treated skin will be noticeably smoother. Botox Botulinum toxin is most commonly utilised in Botox treatment to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and other facial lines. Botox injections are painless and are administered using a tiny eyelash-like needle. The FDA has approved the procedure, and the benefits are obvious within three days. You will need to repeat the procedure every 3-5 months if you want to retain your wrinkle-free appearance. Dermal Fillers Dermal fillers are cosmetic fillers used to increase the volume and fullness of your skin. This therapy reduces the visibility of the most typical indicators of ageing, such as fine lines and wrinkles. Women frequently utilise dermal fillers to make themselves appear younger. Dermal fillers are hyaluronic gel injections that support and volumize drooping parts of the face. Microdermabrasion Microdermabrasion can make your skin seem better by decreasing fine wrinkles, early UV damage, and minor, superficial acne scars. It does not work for repairing deep acne scars or wrinkles. Skin may become visibly smoother and more responsive to moisturisers after just one treatment. During the treatment, aluminium oxide crystals are gently sanded into your skin. Ultherapy Ultherapy is a nonsurgical facelift treatment. It is the only FDA-approved, non-invasive procedure for elevating the neck, chin, and brow, as well as smoothing out creases and wrinkles. Ultherapy® results are typically good for two years. Even with natural collagen renewal, the therapy causes the skin to age. The procedure focused on the brow, neck, and jawline. The vast majority of these procedures are FDA-approved and fully safe. Consult your dermatologist to find out which anti-aging therapies are right for you!
Pulling Teeth With Coconut Oil
I haven't used tooth paste in a year or so. And at 38 years old, still cavity-free! That's because I use a fabulous (and natural) method called oil-pulling. There isn't a toothpaste on the planet (that I know of) that can do these six things, and not contain hazardous material such as bleach, sodium fluoride, triclosan, and sodium lauryl sulfate, just to name a few. Do I brush my teeth? Of course! But I do so before I pull with oil and again right after. I am sharing this card with you because it because a hot topic in the comments of @JordanHamilton's card about Washing Your Toothbrush, which you can see here. Here's how I go about making my own in batches: Ingredients: * Natural coconut oil * Peppermint essential oil * Eucalyptus essential oil * Myrrh essential oil Tools: * Sheet pan (that fits in the freezer) * Aluminum foil * Miniature paper candy cups * Squeeze bottle (with a tip) 1. Place a sheet of aluminum foil over a baking sheet (to catch your drips, drops and mistakes). 2. Set out as many candy paper cups that you can fit onto the sheet. 3. Melt the oil and place into a squeeze bottle. 4. Carefully, fill each cup ALMOST TO THE TOP. Leave a smidge of space at the top. 5. Add ONE DROP of each of your essential oils to the cups. Go in order so you don't get confused. 6. Place the tray on a flat surface in the freezer. A fridge will work too. 7. Be sure to simply lay a sheet of aluminum foil over the tray. Don't seal it, just lay it. 8. Let these harden all the way and store them in a freezer ziplock bag in the fridge. I hope you all found this super helpful. This is super easy and doable. I hope you give this a try. @alywoah @TurtleyTurtles @keith2web @LAVONYORK @EasternShell @Animaniafreak @atmi @kekers96 @buddyesd @DevonArce @MaricelvaRomero @CallMeMsDragon @stephosorio @petname83 @rhanes @AlyssaGelet818 @DeniseNishikawa @AlexisRiver @AlyssaGelet818 @ScarletMermaid @kimnam94 @SarahRegulski @MikeyJBenedict @LysetteMartinez @BlackXShield @YunBao @darcmana @daljiyong @FalseLove @anitadutoit @MyAffairWith @SarahHm11 @moralesdaisy199 @yashiracruz @leinyhmen01 @SigDev @humairaa @SeoInHan @IzamarPalomo @JelliBelli111 @spacewasp @PrincessNae @karolinehoffma
Hyaluronic Acid - The Natural Skin Plumping Sugar
Despite its tough pronunciation and even more complicated spelling; hyaluronic acid is an important part of your daily skin care routine. It's widely used in serums, sheet masks, and moisturisers. This is because HA, a naturally occurring molecule in the skin, binds to water and plumps the face, giving it a dewy, glowing appearance. It's clear that word of its benefits has spread, as it's one of the most sought-after ingredients in skin-care products. Aside from increasing skin moisture levels, hyaluronic acid serves other functions. What is hyaluronic acid, exactly? Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar molecule in the skin that helps water bind to collagen, keeping it in place and giving the skin a plumper, dewier, and more hydrated appearance. Essentially, hyaluronic acid improves skin hydration, which helps to maintain the skin's youthful, full, and bouncy appearance. Collagen in our dermis determines the structure of our skin. Natural hyaluronic acid is covalently linked to water molecules on one side and collagen on the other, providing plumpness to the skin. What is hyaluronic acid's function? As we age, our collagen and hyaluronic acid levels gradually decline, causing our skin to become increasingly dry. Furthermore, winter heaters, specific skin care products, and underlying skin disorders can cause microscopic tears in the protective skin barrier, allowing water to escape. As a result, implementing a customised skin care regimen that includes moisturising products could be extremely beneficial. Hyaluronic acid, glycerin, colloidal oatmeal, urea, propylene glycol, and sorbitol are humectants, which draw water to the skin to hydrate it. These chemicals can be found in a variety of products, such as moisturisers, eye creams, and serums. The use of HA-containing products tightens the skin around the eyes, increases moisture to reduce puffiness, and softens fine wrinkles throughout the face. Hyaluronic acid is effective when applied topically due to its ease of penetration. Our skin is the largest organ in the body, soaking up up to 60% of the nutrients applied to it. Furthermore, the lightweight, fluid nature of hyaluronic acid, as well as its ability to retain moisture from the environment and deeper dermis to completely hydrate the skin, are benefits. Who should benefit from hyaluronic acid? All skin types benefit from hyaluronic acid. It is non-irritating in general and does not aggravate acne, rosacea, or allergic skin conditions. However, there is a very small chance of experiencing any negative consequences. Individuals with dry and/or older skin will benefit the most from the application of hyaluronic acid. Because our bodies produce less hyaluronic acid as we age, people in their forties and fifties will benefit the most from applying it topically. Despite the fact that the term "acid" appears in the term of hyaluronic acid, those with sensitive skin should not be worried; it is completely safe for everyone. Because hyaluronic acid is naturally produced in our bodies, there are no known side effects from using it. If you have an allergic reaction to it or a product that contains it, contact your dermatologist immediately; the reaction could be caused by another active or inactive ingredient. Injectable Hyaluronic Acid Injections of hyaluronic acid are also available. Hyaluronic acid is a gel-like substance found in dermal fillers that attracts water after injection to replenish volume and restore lost structure. This helps to smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles while also reducing the overall sunken or drooping appearance of the face. These dermal fillers can be used to treat nasolabial folds, marionette lines, cheek augmentation, chin augmentation, undereyes, lips, and back of the hands, among other things. Because the quality of fillers varies, it's critical to consult with your dermatologist about your options to ensure you get the best one for you. A cosmetic surgeon compares different types of hyaluronic acid fillers to different types of paintbrushes. They all contain the same component, but the density, lift-ability, and durability of the molecules vary depending on their size and arrangement. Additionally, it is reversible. Because it is injected into your face, it is not permanent. Because hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are reversible, your dermatologist can dissolve the filler quickly using the enzyme hyaluronidase if you are dissatisfied with the results or if a blood artery is blocked during the injection process. The enzyme works quickly; the substance dissolves quickly and is completely destroyed within 24 to 48 hours. Individuals who are allergic to bees, on the other hand, should proceed with caution — and consult a dermatologist — before attempting hyaluronidase-based therapy because the enzyme is found in bee venom. Hyaluronic acid fillers, on the other hand, are not for everyone. Except for pregnant women, the vast majority of people can benefit from hyaluronic acid fillers. Pregnancy and fillers have not been thoroughly studied, but dermatologists generally avoid injecting pregnant women due to uncertainty. Furthermore, if you have a current skin infection, you should avoid these fillers. First, treat the infection, and then return to your appointment once your dermatologist has given you the all-clear. If you're thinking about using hyaluronic fillers, there are a few minor risks to be aware of. Bruising and swelling are the most common side effects of any injectable treatment. The good news is that these shortfalls will only last a short time. Tenderness should subside within a few days. To reduce the risk of bruising, blood-thinning medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and red wine should be avoided for about a week before treatment. Furthermore, arnica and bromelain may aid in the reduction of swelling and bruising.
K-Idols with tattoos pt. 1
So I know in South Korea tattoos are still somewhat taboo and a very sensitive subject but as a girl with tattoos this is a topic I'm very passionate about. As I stated I have 3 tattoos so obviously I'm all for them. I don't like how they have such a bad stigma because now a days they're a form of expression and they're art. They're a form of strength, encouragement, reminders and memorials. So I kinda wanted to do a card all about k-idols (the ones I could find anyway) who went against the grain and got tattoos despite the way they're viewed. #1 Winner's Mino Meaning: "then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where he scattered you."
