Man, have the Red Hot Chili Peppers changed.
They've sort of faded out of the limelight recently, with no album since 2011. There's allegedly an eleventh album on the way, but who really knows. It that makes sense that they've disappeared recently, because the Chili Peppers have been around for a long, long time. Like, way longer than we realized.
They were formed in 1983.
But going back to their early stuff - namely, anything up to and including 1991's "Blood Sugar Sex Magik", they were the kings of Defeating Lethargy. And it's Tuesday morning, which means that mid-week lethargy is in full effect, so let's revisit some early tunes and get the week rolling.
"Fight Like a Brave"
An anthem, of sorts.
"Suck My Kiss"
At their punk-y, funky, angry, happy, strange, uncomfortable best.
"Get Up and Jump"
Hey, you heard them...
