Review with Mew; The Blonds x DISNEY VILLAINS : SS2019 w @ NYFW
Mew here, and I was feeling particularly villainous today, so to also get you in the wicked mood I did a quick review of one of my favorite runways inspired by my favorite Disney villains. One of my all time favorite fashion runways is luxury fashion brand THE BLONDS presenting their SS’19 collection which was inspired by some of our hated? loved?Disney villains. The designers were undoubtedly successful in capturing the essence of Disney's most wicked characters! Here’s a look at my favorite pieces and their inspirations: The show started out with one of the baddest baddies in Disney: Malificent Malificent's coat was the inspiration and the piece was modeled by one of the designers himself Philippe Blond. He left the runway bloody after that walk but then proceeded to clean it up using one of my FAVE pieces of the night! Sir I respect your vision but please no…that looks expensive. Me, with my poison apple in tow, on my way to poison my 2nd husband after he writes me into his will: ± Next section was dedicated to Dr Facilier the CREEPiest villain to grace Disney Animation since Jafar…: Dr Facilier He still gives me chills whenever I think about his creepy smile but as an inspiration for this number? CHILLS ..but the good kind this time. The gold detailing on that vest is almost hypnotizing. ± Next up we have Wicked Witch of the Seas, ready to take your breath away! : Ursula Loved the webbed finger gloves and floorlength purple feathers; pay homage to the queen. And what is a sea witch without her cronies, eels Flotsam and Jetsam modeled by the ever stunning Dupont Twins. We LOVE a skin-tight bodysuit and highlighter green. ± THE MAIN EVENT was definitely Paris Hilton on her Cruella De Vil ish, modeling with her cute chihuahua. : Cruella De Vil The red lip contrast to the black and white mix thigh boots? A LOOK *No Dalmatians were harmed in the making of this STRUT* 101 Reasons to love this fur ensemble.^ Feeling nasty yet? ± Personally I LOVED every piece but these were a few of my favorites. Watch the entire runway show here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhdsnE0BR7s And let me know your favorite Disney villain look!
Trending Bridal Style for 2015
It's the time of the year again where couple are looking forward to tie the knot. Spring and summer is by far the busiest season for brides. From wedding planning to honeymoon, their bucket is pack with tons of to-dos. If you're getting married this year, I've compiled a list of growing trends. Whether you plan to rent or buy a dress, consider these styles. 1. Sweetheart Neckline This never seem to go out of fashion. This sweet and sexy neckline is more modest than a tube dress. The best part is it looks stunning on almost every size. Definitely, a keeper! 2. Off-White Dress I'm seeing more and more brides opt for a subtle peach and off-white dress for weddings. It's something more dramatic than white but still remains the classic look. Perfect for Spring and Summer lightening. 3. Open Back Beauty Want to add a touch of sensuality while looking sophisticated? The open-back design is the winner. The exposed back design is a compromise between modern and modes without disturbing the crowd. 4. A Touch of Vintage The vintage bride with headpieces is a growing trend last year and this year it will continue to remain strong. The 20s inspired gowns are sexy, low-key and perfect for a boho-bride. 5. Texture Update Want to stick with a classic design and be set apart from all the other brides? A subtle texture with a touch of individuality is the perfect way to go. Look at the tube for example. 6. Tulle Tulle This is a better upgrade of the giant princess-style gown that you've seen in the past. I'm especially drawn by the bottom half design - multiple layers of tulle fabric.
