Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, the man who had all the moves, and the Smooth Criminal that stole all of our hearts like 1-2-3, who passed away six years from today. And what better way to commemorate the man, by singing his top hits. We’ve seen a lot of covers of his songs done over and over... but acapella? The group Pentatonix covers all of his greatest songs in this brilliant 6 minute video.
Pentatonix is a superstar in the Acapella community and they are breaking the barrier between pop music and love of acapella. As a huge acapella lover (I was in a apace group in college) these guys really know how to switch up the acapella scene and draw in people who have never heard of the genre.
ABC, Billie Jean, Thriller, and Smooth Criminal were all in there. I felt myself tearing up around 3:17 when Man in the Mirror was spotlighted. Can it get any better than that?
They are particularly famous for their mashups and evolutions of music. Their first big one a is a huge evolution of music, a Beyonce Evolution, and then (my favorite) Daft Punk medley.
Let’s just say, though he was a fan of his instrumental stuff...MJ would’ve digged this aca-evolution of his music.

ohhhh me too @JackieMurrayCab. White Winter Hynmal is my favorite from their newest Christmas album.
I was introduced to their music through my daughter. She attended university to get study music comp and history. I can't imagine the hours these young people put into the music the produce. But I certainly can appreciate it.
totally @JackieMurrayCab! I was actually lucky enough to be in an acapella group in college and it was a blast! Of course it was lots of work too...we definitely weren’t as good as Pentatonix though so I can only imagine how much they do!
my daughters also were in a capella choir.
It’s an awesome experience! I bet your daughters loved it too @JackieMurrayCab
