I hate you.
People say it in passing, friends say it when someone does something stupid, kids say it when they don't get what they want. Somehow hate just rolls off the tongue while a smile is still plastered across their face.
I Hate You holds no weight, as a hand is slapped playfully across someones arm. A joke.
But you, I hate you. I hate you tricking me into being yours, I hate you for taking special and discarding it like dirty clothes, I hate you for looking at me in the first place.
I hate you for telling lie after lie; but mostly I hate myself for letting you.
I love you
People say it in passing, they say it to the waitress that brings them their food, and the man on the other end of the phone who somehow manages to fix a problem. They say it to avoid conflict, they say it on Instagram as they are talking shit about the same girl.
I Love You holds no weight, as a hand is slapped playfully across someones arm. A joke.
But you, I love you. I love that you kiss me every morning and laugh at my dragon breath. I love that you argue with me just to listen to me rant. I love you every time you glance at me when you think I can't see.
I love that you tell me you Love Me with every other breath; but mostly I love that I can believe you.
