J. K. Rowling has a surprise brewing- a Harry Potter stage play!
This is no Hocus Pocus: J.K. Rowling has penned a stage play titled Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which will be arriving in London's West End in 2016. It's not a prequel, but "it will tell the "untold part" of the boy wizard's story, including the story of the lives of his murdered parents."
Who else is freaking out right now?
She had this to say about the play:
"To answer one inevitable (and reasonable!) question - why isn't Cursed Child a new novel? I am confident that when audiences see the play they will agree that it was the only proper medium for the story."
She hasn't released any specific details, because spoilers. But are we finally going to learn more about Lily and James? And the other Marauders?
THAT'S FINE. I CAN WAIT.
Daniel Radcliffe probably doesn't want to play Harry Potter again. Who should they cast? And whay does she mean, the stage is the only proper medium for the story? And how the heck am I going to wait a whole year before I find out?!
