The Power Of Makeup: The Trend Worth Trending

It's amazing how the world of YouTube has become a national phenomenon.

One amazing video can go viral and touch the lives of several within a matter of seconds. With that being said, YouTube makeup guru NikkiTutorials posted a video earlier this month that she probably never thought would become the talk of the town -- literally. A lot of people have this notion that women wear makeup because their insecure, but Nikki decided she was going to teach those people a lesson and that's exactly what she did.
In her video she did her makeup as she would in any ordinary makeup tutorial, but she put a twist on it and only did one side of her face, leaving the other half bare. Her goal was to provide viewers with a true insight of #ThePowerOfMakeup and help them realize that makeup is used to enhance natural beauty, not conceal a person's insecurities.

Much to Nikki's surprise, not only did her video go viral, but the hashtag took off as well and the world of social media quickly became consumed of jaw dropping half faced selfies.
Check out these amazing photos that showcase women who are confident and skilled when it comes to #ThePowerOfMakeup.

You're gorgeous with or without makeup. Don't let them tell you otherwise.

You don't need a mirror or someone else to remind you how beautiful you are.

Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. You're beautiful darling. Own it.

I love this! Some people feel like they just have to wear makeup. I try to view makeup as a treat to help me look polished but not something that defines me. But hey thats just me. lol
