Fourth of July is coming up, and I want to make sure that all of you Vinglers have all the Latin foods you need for an awesome fourth. I like my barbeque-type holidays infused with a Latin twist. Because if you haven't noticed, Latinos are awesome, and Latin food is superior to all foods.
Don’t fight me on this. You know it’s true.
Here's some dishes you need at your Fourth of July gathering.

In Nicaragua, churrasco is a beef filet tenderloin steak, marinated in a chimichurri sauce, which is made with fresh parsley, minced garlic, peppers, and Spanish olive oil. The meat is sliced into thin strips, and then grilled over a fire, seasoned with salt and pepper.

Shrimp Ceviche

Ceviche is a refreshing-flavored dish that includes juiced limes, fresh fish, and lightly crushed garlic cloves. The marinating process is the most important part. You'll typically allow your shrimp to bathe in a citrus juice for a few hours.

Couve Mineira

This dish is a Brazilian-style collard greens, which is made from a bundle of fresh collard greens, finely chopped garlic, chopped pieces of lean BACON, and oil. And by the way, this dish goes very well with feijoada.
Now you're ready to start that fire, squeeze those lemons, and spike that juice with tequila.

Happy Fourth of July!

I shouldn't have read this when I'm so hungry. That couve mineira sounds so incredible that I feel like I'm doubling over in hungries.
Yes! My job has been complete! @redridergirl :)
Yummy! I am hungry now!
