Hello, my name is Tess and I am Blonde-arexic. I come from a long line of them. My struggle is real. Here are 5 things that everyone who dyes their hair copes with. May god have mercy on us all.

1. This ish costs money.

I mean mucho dinero. I end up spending thousands a year on dye, and dye related products.

2. There's collateral damage

hair especially the platinum shades involves pain. Side effects include, but are not limited to: burning, stinging, itching, dry scalp and overall straw-like texture of the hair. But hey, anything for that platinum.

3. It takes time

Who likes being poked and prodded in the head for hours on end to achieve the desired effect? Nobody, but it's a necessity for hair

4. Sometimes it doesn't always work out.
