Netizens can be so vicious sometimes! They give a whole new meaning to "making a mountain out of a molehill."
I'm not going to lie. The moment If You and Sober came out, I was expecting some sort of hate against the songs or the members themselves since that's what happens every time Big Bang does anything (literally, anything)!
And to be quite honest, it's getting very tiring!
Here's what's going on right now.
Big Bang recently released their Sober MV (which is quite amazing btw!). Some lovely netizens are spreading word that the song plagiarizes The Wanted's Glad You Came.
The claim is that the hook of Sober (from 1:01 to 1:15) and is too similar to the hook of Glad You Came (from 1:04 to 1:19). And this comparison has gotten enough attention that HuffingtonPost Korea has made a video synchronizing the 2 songs.
You've got to be kidding me...
I don't know about you guys, but they sound nothing alike! Maybe the beat is a little similar but that happens with a lot of songs. How did they even came up with this comparison?
Here's what I think. The song was composed by GD and as you all know there's been quite a bit of GD hate lately. And I feel like this is just a continuation of all that hate?
As a VIP, it does annoy me to see these rumors take place but at the end of the day Big Bang always slays and the haters...well...
I hope this rumor dies down soon! Do you guys think the songs sound alike? @MattK95 @jiggzy19 @PassTheSuga @aabxo @ambie
Similarity in beat maybe, but I can name lots of songs that are similar to each other in beat, the word "plagiarism" is thrown about far too often by people who clearly have no understanding of music at all
people are stupid and need to accept the fact that Bigbang is gonna be topping charts for the rest of this year. Kwon Jiyong is such a talented song composer that it scares everyone other Kpop groups. These rumors regarding Jiyong are ridiculous and honestly bet Jiyong is laughing about how stupid it all is.
I don't get why people hate the entire group, if you want to talk about stealing things have you heard Anaconda? (All though I'd like that song but still) Why do people do this? The song has a beautiful meaning, it's quite sad with an upbeat sound. It is something you can listen too on a bad day and connect with it. It was crafted by someone who knows how to write a song. like ugh
@Amy88 @JennieVang @solodaywithB1A4 @chelynelli94 I agree with you guys. Just a bit annoying as a VIP when Big Bang gets bashed :(
I agree 100%....the talent that comes from that group is amazing and beautiful that is one of the reasons that they are loved by so many around the world♡♡♡♡
