It's totally possible to cook up a great meal -- with few ingredients and in a timely manner. I am a sucker for quick & easy recipes, mostly because I am impatient. If you want to cook up a Latin-inspired dinner for you and your family without the sweat, I have dinner recipe they'll be licking their fingertips over.
This dish is called "carne guisada" which is a beef stew. The following recipe will be Puerto Rican style. It's a dish that brings warm and comforting memories. Although this is a beef stew, it's often served over white rice. It makes for a great, satisfying meal.
What You'll Need
2½ lbs. beef stew meat
1 medium onion (chopped)
2 garlic cloves (diced)
1 can tomato sauce
1 pack sazon seasoning
Potatoes (chopped in chunks)
Carrots (thick slices)
salt & pepper
How To Make It:
1) In a large pot, add meat the meat, onions, garlic cloves, salt & pepper, tomato sauce, sazon enough water to cover ingredients/meat. Boil at medium heat for an hour.
2) Add additional water if necessary.
3) Then add potatoes and carrots. Simmer for about 30 minutes, or until potatoes are soft.
Now, all you need are some beautiful plates to showcase this magical masterpiece you've created!
