Pastel hair, sparkly stilettos, sexy white jumpsuits.

You wouldn't typically see a grandma in any of the above. Why? Society has a stigma on aging, that once you hit the glorious 50, you should dress and act a certain way. The stereotypical woman over 40 usually chops off her locks and throw on a rather plain sweatshirt. Society also tells us that beautiful is the definition of youthful.
Hairstylist DJ Victory challenge this stigma by coming up with the idea of "Glamour Gram" Photoshoot.

"Beauty and youth are not synonymous; perfection does not exist; life is too short to care what haters think." - DJ Victory

She wants to show all of us each of them are not only grandmas. They're also someone's wife, sister, lover, mother, friend....someone's idea of pure perfection.

Who said grandmas can't rock a selfie pose?

Or color their hair purple?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We shouldn't subscribe to society's standard. If you have wrinkles, embrace them. If you think those jeans makes your butt look good, buy them. If you want to rock a pair of sassy stiletto, wear 'em. If you never had pink hair in your life, try it now! Age is just a number.
I love this!! When I'm a grandma, I'm totally dying my hair purple 馃槃
I like this card because it motivates not only older women, but also younger people to do whatever they want to do. To not blend in with the crowd, but to stick out and be your own person. So that way when people see you then know that you aren't trying to be fake. Also, once you do figure out what you really want to do, then you will feel happier because you aren't trying to be someone you're not.
@HairConfetti It is hard, but it is a great message, and I hope to slowly follow it. I struggle with being myself too.
@KDramaKPop1015 I agree, but it's harder than it seems. I wish life was just as simple as 1,2,3. I only wish people aren't so judgemental.
@KDramaKPop1015 True! Let's work on it together! :)
