In Legend, Tom Hardy plays both Ronnie and Reggie Kray. The first trailer I saw for this movie was more of a teaser than anything else and I couldn't really get a grasp of how one actor playing two roles would work out. But the latest trailer for the movie shows us just how skilled Tom Hardy is as an actor by letting us see a little more of his dual-performance.
The most fascinating thing about the trailer is the way you can tell that both Ronnie and Reggie are two entirely different characters. Of course, this is something that should be expected but the fascination and amazement come from the fact that Hardy is playing both of them.
It really showcases Hardy's range as an actor. Throughout the trailer you can see how Ronnie and Reggie have different voices and mannerisms. And this essentially shows us that Hardy, essentially, acted twice during the making of the movie.
The only concern that I have revolves around the scenes where the brothers are in same scene standing next to each other. While it's not really easy to tell from the trailer, I still worry that those scenes will look awkward depending on the technique they used to have Hardy on-screen twice.
Either way, I'm still very excited to see his dual-performance.
Legend will be in theaters this Fall (some sources say it will be released on September 11, 2015 while others say October 2, 2015).
