This is the easiest dinner you will EVER make. And so delicious, too!

Easy Caramelized Onion Pasta

Prep Time: 5 min. Cook Time: 15 min. Difficulty: Easy
Recipe adapted from MyFridgeFoods

Bread crumbs or panko
Extra virgin olive oil

1. Depending on how much you like caramelized onions (the extras are great for dressing up a sandwich!), chop one or two onions into strips. Heat a tablespoon or two of extra virgin olive oil in a frying pan over low heat. Caramelize onions.
2. Meanwhile, make the pasta according to directions on the box.
3. When the onions are almost finished, throw some bread crumbs into the pan with them. This adds texture and takes the place of salt.
4. Drain pasta and combine all ingredients, then serve and enjoy!
Note: Try adding some sautéed chicken for protein!
I found this recipe on, which is a pretty cool and useful tool for figuring out what to make for dinner, based on what's already in your kitchen. Check out my card, Don't know what to make for dinner? MyFridgeFoods does the work for you! to learn more.
@amendasaeyang thank you! :) chicken, fresh thyme, garlic, mushrooms, and a light cream sauce which you can make by adding a splash of cream to the pan you caramelized the onions in. A bit of white wine wouldn't hurt either :)
Looks yummy! what are the other ingredients in the picture?
I love easy, inexpensive recipes! I've never tried cooking onions with bread crumbs but it soundsss amazing
Agreed @alywoah!! This takes so little time to make, and the payoff is delicious. Plus, it's made only with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen!
