Maybe its the month before finals or a few months into your new job, but whenever it is, it is only a matter of time before you get burnt out. Working long hours, waking up early and constantly repeating the same routine is stressful and taxing on the body and the soul.
Its time to recharge and refocus so that you can get yourself back to your full potential and not be completely miserable while doing it.
1. Take time during the week for yourself
I get it, you still want to have fun with your friends even though you have a full time job now. You already miss out on everything from 9-5, do you really need to miss out on margarita Mondays and thirsty Thursday?
The answer is Yes.
You don't always have to say in like a grandma, but taking time for yourself is so important, especially when you are on the verge of a burn out.
Stay at home and just veg out for a night. Drink some beer, watch some TV and cook comfort food. Go to sleep early and trust me, you will feel amazing the next day. It doesnt seem like a lot but it will defiantly get you through the week.
2. Do not think about work over the weekend
If you have the luxury of having weekends off, make sure you enjoy them! Relax, party, hang out with your friends or just hang out by yourself. Whatever you do, do not think about work. These are two days to let lose and relax.
The weekend if your time to recharge, make sure you use it.
3. Try and plan ahead
If you finish your work early, plan for the next few days, weeks, or months. This way when you start to feel burnt out again or are just having an off day, you have a set plan about what you need to do. It sounds like extra work but I swear it will only make your life easier and will also help #2 become way more of a reality.
