Are you vegan? Allergic to eggs? Perhaps you just ran out of your last carton? Not to worry because all of the substitutions below will replace 1 egg.

Soy Protein:

Mix 1 tbsp. of soy protein powder with 3 tbsp. of water.

Agar Agar Flakes:

Mix 1 tbsp. of agar agar with 3 tbsp. of water.

Ripe Bananas:

Take 1/2 of a ripe banana and mash with a fork.


Measure out 1/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce.

Peanut Butter:

Use 3 tbsp. of organic peanut butter.

Chia Seeds:

Put 1 tbsp. of chia seeds in 1/3 cup of water. Stir and then let sit for 15 minutes, until it becomes gelatinous.

Ground Flaxseeds:

Mix 1 tbsp. of ground flax with 3 tbsp. of water. Stir with a fork until mixture is thick, creamy and egg-like.

egg replacer! potato starch! White beans! take your pick of just about anything, but I do appreciate the egg replacer powder you mix with hot water for baking when things need to puff up properly
