I know, I know...it's not the Fall yet! I know. But, before I forget, I want to share this bourbon recipe and diy with you so that you have it for the upcoming holidays. And if you are not a fan of pumpkin in general, then skip it and keep it a bourbon-only infusion that you can enjoy year-round! YUM! This is also a Jackie Dodd creation from Domestic Fits.
1 cup heavy cream
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tbs pumpkin puree
2 tbs bourbon
When you're making homemade whipped cream, the how-to is pretty much ALWAYS the same:
Extremely chilled bowl, whisk, ingredients
Use a stand mixer with a whisk
Whisk from low to medium to high for a total of about 3-4 minutes.
Don't over whip
For this recipe, the first three ingredients get incorporated and whipped as normal. After your cream is whipped, GENTLY STIR IN the last two ingredients.
