Recently I've been thinking about kpop groups that had a good debut, in my opinion, but then seemed to disappear into oblivion. The first on my list is 100%, a seven-member boy group consisting of Minwoo, Rockhyun, Jonghwan, Chanyong, Changbum, Hyukjin and Sanghoon. They debuted in 2012 and released a mini-album in 2013 that I really enjoyed. But suddenly in March of 2014, the oldest Minwoo joined the army and the maknae Sanghoon left the group. Since then they have released a couple mini albums but I haven't seen anything from them since July 2014 so I'm kind of concerned. I highly doubt Sanghoon is going back to the group so maybe they are waiting for Minwoo to get back from the army in December? Who knows.
The other group I've been thinking about is LC9, a six-member group that debuted in 2013 as part of Nega network- the same company for Brown Eyed Girls. In fact, this group was media-played to be the male version of BEG and their debut mv for Mama Beat was rated 19+, for violence that is. However, after their debut, E.Den left the group to finish his studies and Rasa joined the army (I see a pattern here). Afterwards, they released an mv in 2014 for their single East of Eden which may or may not have been about the former member? No one knows for sure. Since then they haven't released anything except for the occasional dance clip and vocal cover. I have no idea what Nega is planning to do with the boys. Also, what happened to the three members that were supposed to be added?
