Review with Mew; The Blonds x DISNEY VILLAINS : SS2019 w @ NYFW
Mew here, and I was feeling particularly villainous today, so to also get you in the wicked mood I did a quick review of one of my favorite runways inspired by my favorite Disney villains. One of my all time favorite fashion runways is luxury fashion brand THE BLONDS presenting their SS’19 collection which was inspired by some of our hated? loved?Disney villains. The designers were undoubtedly successful in capturing the essence of Disney's most wicked characters! Here’s a look at my favorite pieces and their inspirations: The show started out with one of the baddest baddies in Disney: Malificent Malificent's coat was the inspiration and the piece was modeled by one of the designers himself Philippe Blond. He left the runway bloody after that walk but then proceeded to clean it up using one of my FAVE pieces of the night! Sir I respect your vision but please no…that looks expensive. Me, with my poison apple in tow, on my way to poison my 2nd husband after he writes me into his will: ± Next section was dedicated to Dr Facilier the CREEPiest villain to grace Disney Animation since Jafar…: Dr Facilier He still gives me chills whenever I think about his creepy smile but as an inspiration for this number? CHILLS ..but the good kind this time. The gold detailing on that vest is almost hypnotizing. ± Next up we have Wicked Witch of the Seas, ready to take your breath away! : Ursula Loved the webbed finger gloves and floorlength purple feathers; pay homage to the queen. And what is a sea witch without her cronies, eels Flotsam and Jetsam modeled by the ever stunning Dupont Twins. We LOVE a skin-tight bodysuit and highlighter green. ± THE MAIN EVENT was definitely Paris Hilton on her Cruella De Vil ish, modeling with her cute chihuahua. : Cruella De Vil The red lip contrast to the black and white mix thigh boots? A LOOK *No Dalmatians were harmed in the making of this STRUT* 101 Reasons to love this fur ensemble.^ Feeling nasty yet? ± Personally I LOVED every piece but these were a few of my favorites. 7 Ideas to Upgrade Your Hair
Two times in a year I would switch up my hairstyle, at the end of December and mid-June. December is understandable. New year, new hair! If you think about it 12 months is a really long time. June is the perfect month to get a brief makeover to freshen up for the rest of the year. Whenever you're ready, here are some cool ideas to switch up your hair. 1. Wig Not sure if you notice but in recent years wigs is rising in popularity. Part of the reason is Kylie Jenner has made wig a thing. In addition, Ladies don't want to damage their hair by changing their hair color every other month. Therefore, wig is a cheaper and safer option to look fab, minus all the mess. 2. Extensions Wigs can be bulky and some people just hate wearing a helmet of hair over their own hair. Hair extensions is another solution to obtain new color without the use of dyes. The great thing about extension is you have full control of placement and style. The option is endless, so be creative! 3. Temporary Hair Color This option is for those of you who don't like having anything on your hair. There are products like temporary hair color rinses, chalk hair, eye shadow hair that will go away in one wash. No commitment but it does take some work. 4. Traditional Color Change You can always rely on the good old method of coloring your hair. Box formula can give you instant results without having to book an appointment or spend a lot of cash. However, professional color service will give you gorgeous and more long-lasting results. Highlights such as ombre and sombre are styles you might want to opt for this summer. 5. Smart Haircut If you want to get your hair short but don't want to go all in, take baby steps. It's okay to have an evolving haircut. Start getting a few inches and then go shorter until your desired final cut. Experiment and see what works for you! 6. Texture Change Long hair can be annoying during summer and you might be considering to trim it. However, if you want to keep the length but is bored with your current hair you can try changing the texture. It's easy to give your hair new looks. Simply use heating tools, braids, or twists. The best part, it works on any hair length. 7. Bangs This is a subtle yet big change to any hair. One little trim can alter your entire style. You don't have to commit to it right away. You can always test it out with faux bang clip-in.
Save Your Hair From Color Damage
I was looking through pictures of girl groups hairstyles within a year their hair could change up to 4-5 times. Regular people like myself will probably get their hair done 1-2 times a year. I guess one reason to explain the short lifespan of their hairstyles is kpop fans expect the idols to look different for new comeback and concept. So, before dropping any announcement, Hairstyle is usually one of the biggest hint for comebacks. Truth is their hair must be extremely damage from the excessive use of chemical and heat styling. However, they are celebrities and they must have hair professionals to maintain the health of their hair. Otherwise, we'll be staring at limpy hair, and split ends on stage. Celebrity Hair Secrets: 1. Protein mask. This is normally used to strengthen the hair before styling. 2. Hair serum and oil. A dollop of this will quickly give your hair shine and moisture. 3. Supplements. No matter how many products you use you need to get enough nutrients to maintain over health and beauty. For those of you who color your hair or use heat styling tool often these are the products that can help keep your hair healthy. Nutiva Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Best for dry and damaged hair. Coconut oil is packed with moisturizing benefits. if your strands are extremely dry you can leave this on overnight then wash your hair in the morning to get glossy, healthy hair. Nexus Emergencee Reconstructing Treatment. The texture for this hair pack is really unique. It is gel-like but if you apply it before your hair washing routine you'll end up with super soft hair. Olaplex Hair Perfector No.3. Olaplex is the best hair treatment for pre and post hair coloring. Professional colorist will use it in the coloring process. Sometime coloring the hair might take 1-2 days so a take home treatment will be offered to rebuild broken hair. Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil You can honestly use any hair oil but this is one my favorite. It battles frizz and soften the ends of hair without weighing it down.

If there is a styling tool you must invest in go with a flat iron. You can do all of the following with one simple tool: - Straighten your hair - Style your bangs - And create 8 different types of curls. You didn't read it wrong. Everyone knows how to use this beauty staple to for sleek hair, but not everyone realize the tool can do more. With the proper styling technique your hair can get curls, spirals, and waves. To Create soft curls similar to curling iron: Clasp a section of hair right above your ear, wrap the hair around your iron, and slowly glide through the section. Tip: Hold the flat iron upside down as seen above, to create a smoother finish. For the model-off-duty waves: Follow the previous method but this time hold your flat iron upright. 3 Skin Products That Have Actually Worked for Me
(image: glossier) Are you tired of buying products and seeing a whopping total of zero results? Same, girl. So today I'm going to share a few products that have actually had a noticeable impact on my skin. (image: mom fabulous) 1. RoC Deep Wrinkle Retinol Correction Holy cow guys. This stuff is absolutely magic in a bottle. Retinol in any dosage higher than this can only come with a perscription because it is incredibly strong. Creams with this product, if the dosage is right, practically erase fine (and not so fine) lines. I attacked my crows feet with this cream and I kid you not, I saw improvement and near-elimination of my deepest wrinkle in one week. One week. The little tube is a little pricey but good God does it work! Warning: I used the Day and Night cream religiously and after a few days I noticed that my skin was rather red. The labels warns that this happens and you skin will get used to it, but it persisted for longer than I liked. I stopped for a week, then went to only using the night cream and I haven't had a problem since. Retinol is a serious chemical so don't over-do it! Get your hands on it here! (image: pop sugar) 2. Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment The winter weather is not kind to my lips and there is nothing I hate more than that tight, almost sticky-dry feeling you get when your lips are parched. While drinking water helps, I found that this lip treatment not only moisturized my lips but softened them, slightly lessened the lines on my lips, aaaand just as an added bonus, it tastes delicious. I got the color 'Bloom' which is supposed to work for pretty much all skin tones, but check out their collection and find one that works for you! Get your hands on it here! (image: klairs) 3. Klair's Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask This is so sci-fi it's not even funny. The mask has a quality that no matter how much you use it, it will slide back into its previous shape like memory foam. So every time you open the jar it looks brand new. Because of this, when you put the mask on your face is really squeezes into your skin. When I wake up, my skin is literally glowing. Warning: I only use this once and week because I found that if I used it more than once a week I got a small breakout (gone the next day) on my nose. That could have been related to my time of the month, but I didn't want to risk it again, plus you really don't need to use it that often! Get your hands on it here! What are some products that have ACTUALLY done something noticeable for you?
