This is a seriously beeeeeauuuuuutiful book. When it first came out, the critics were calling the author the new John Green! I really love how it was written, and while she can be compared to John Green, Zappia has her own distinct style that makes the story all the more relatable.
So this is a story about a girl with schizophrenia, so she is often hallucinating and forever paranoid. Yet, she tries hard to fit in with her classmates, and this book starts from the point after she transferred schools due to an episode she had in her previous school.
Though this is Zappia's debut novel, the feeling of the story and the character's emotions really reels you in and keeps you hooked. As this is yet another teen fiction, there is lots of romance and cute moments along with issues any teenager goes through added to the character's own inner turmoil caused by her schizophrenia. There's something there for everyone! So if you're looking for a new read, pick up this book from a local library! I swear you'll love me for recommending this book.
Its great when someone recommends a book. As it is, there are more 'onlookers' and less readers.
Yes, thank you for this! I am always looking for new books to read. I also like reading about mental battles. I'll definitely write this on my list for the next batch of books to pick up.
