In honor of National Lollipop Day, I bring you the Blow-Pop Martini. Enjoy!
Truth be told, I had no idea it was National Lollipop Day until Warby Parker published it on Instagram! Who would have guessed! AOL published 10 astonishing facts about the lollipop but appeared to be far too boring to include. The exception, however, was the fact that there are adult lollipops with flavor profiles such as chardonnay, merlot and cabernet from Lollyphile.
2/3 cup frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed and strained to remove solids
1 1/3 cups water
1 1/2 cup bubble-gum flavored vodka
4 tablespoons sour apple, sour watermelon or berry blue sour liqueur
12 small lollipops, unwrapped, for garnish if desired
Combine liquid ingredients in a large pitcher and stir well.
Refrigerate until serving time.
To serve, pour into martini glasses.
Garnish each glass with a lollipop, if desired.
Due to excessive heat across the country, in particular, New York, a fellow Vingler, @LizArnone, suggested renting a hotel room and maxing out their AC for some relief. I love that idea. She has more ideas you can read here. If you decide to go that direction, and you really should, then click here to see how to celebrate your new found chill with a French 75.
