Vibrant and colorful hairstyle is one of the strongest beauty trend this year. This summer the one or two color ombre has evolved into sand art color. Popsugar calls this trend "colombré", so in contrast to a full-head of color, the top half of the hair is darker and closer to natural shade, from mid-shaft to ends creative colors starts to blend in.
This example of colored ombre is bolder and brighter to show distinction of the braided layers. The rainbow braided updo is done by celebrity hairstylist Sarah Potempa.
Here is softer and more subtle take of the sand art hair on beauty blogger Irene Kim.
The hairstyle above is done with hair chalk from FreePeople. It is done by chalking a small section making colorful streaks that blends well with the overall hairstyle. So, it's not exactly a gradient shift.
The darker, earth tone colors used for this ombré style compliments her dark brown hair. The teal streaks also compliments her eye color.
