This is a great DIY project to repurpose an old t-shirt or to make a t-shirt that is too tight wearable again. This tutorial comes from the creative people at Trash To Couture.

You only need three materials for this project: a t-shirt, a few yards of crochet trim (you can find this at a local craft store or online) and a sewing machine (if you are savvy with a sewing machine) or fabric glue (if you want to keep this project simpler).

Cut away

Cut down the side seams of the t-shirt (including the arm holes). Then, cut four pieces of crochet trim that are long enough to go down the sides of the t-shirt.

Sew (or glue)

Then, sew (or glue) the trim to the t-shirt, one on the front and one on the back of each side of the t-shirt. Make sure you leave a hole for your arms! Repeat these steps on the other side of the t-shirt.

Voila! You now have a chic, repurposed t-shirt!
