Move over Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big. There's a new item in town -- maybe.
Who knew that dating in the best city in the world was so breath taking? I mean is it the city or is it him? Maybe it's a mix of the two, but it's an amazing feeling. Just the fact that the possibilities are endless, makes the journey all the more exciting.
Waking up to the sound of sirens and honking horns doesn't begin to compare to the thumping of my fast beating heart when I wake up to thoughts of someone so close to perfect. I was questioning if I was in too deep and then I suddenly realized I'm way pass that -- I'm head over heels and I'm not ashamed one bit. I mean who is this mysterious being who crept into my life and decided to bring me endless smiles and happiness daily? Whoever he is, let's just hope he sticks around for awhile.
Falling is scary, but it's such a great feeling -- especially when you have no doubt in your mind that you will be caught before you hit rock bottom. The anticipation I get when meeting up for dates is a feeling that everyone should have the opportunity of experiencing. I can't even begin to explain the way I feel when we meet after a long days of work. He's that nap I was craving throughout the day, but didn't want to take. Giving me the perfect amount of energy to keep me going.
If I'm dreaming please pinch me now because waking up is something that I am not looking forward to doing anytime soon. I mean who knew, this girl from the suburbs who had given up on both her dreams and her drooling over pointless relationships -- made it to the city and found someone who warms her heart like milk chocolate on a warm summers day? I would say I won't get my hopes up, but I think it's a little too late.
Whatever happens at the end of the day, I know I'll be happy regardless. I stepped outside of my comfort zone, took a risk and it worked in my favor. If things go as planned, perfect! If they don't, it was so worth it. Finding potential love in the city is a feeling I thought only Carrie Bradshaw knew about, but I've come to realize that Carrie is just like the rest of us. A woman in the city living life and falling hard.
