Last night on a casual walk through Chelsea, I stumbled upon the Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp premiere. I've been in New York City for a few months now and have only seen a couple of D-List celebrities, so I knew this was probably my opportunity to change that.
After searching for stars among the flashing cameras, I looked to my left and saw Paul Rudd. Seconds later a black car pulled up and the adorable Amy Poehler stepped out onto the red carpet. I stopped breathing for a few seconds, but when I regained my ability to think straight, I pulled out my camera.
Please enjoy these two low quality photos that I took. The second one is more adorable because Paul and Amy hug!!!
After the cast walked inside, I decided to learn a little more about the show. After all, it stars a few of my favorite celebrities, so I should probably watch it.
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp is an eight-episode prequel to the popular film, Wet Hot American Summer. It's full of huge stars besides those I saw yesterday - Bradley Cooper and Elizabeth Banks, just to name a few. The series seems like it'll be a dream come true for die hard Wet Hot American Summer fans, giving them an idea of where their favorite characters came from. For everyone else, it's probably a series full of immature and ridiculous humor starring some of the best comedy actors out there. Either way, it'll be worth a watch.
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp premieres July 31 on Netflix.
